Emily has always been driven by a love of helping people and a desire to make a meaningful difference.

Growing up in a Hispanic household with a single mother and limited resources, she developed resilience, a strong sense of community, and the dream of one day becoming a business owner herself. As a young teen, she would help her grandmother sell candies and piñatas at a small shop, an experience that sparked her early appreciation for entrepreneurship and gave her a deep respect for the determination of small business owners and immigrant entrepreneurs.

At AltCap California, Emily channels that passion into supporting underserved communities and helping small businesses access the opportunities they need to grow and succeed. She finds deep fulfillment in being part of work that empowers others and creates lasting impact.
