Being a Hispanic woman of Mexican descent, entrepreneurship has always been a part of Cynthia’s story. Growing up in a family of hardworking immigrants, she knew success would mean carving her own path. From selling lemonade to launching a marketing agency, she discovered her passion — not just for business but for uplifting others.

Cynthia entered the CDFI/Small Business financing industry at 19 and continues to grow her career as a lead intake coordinator at AltCap California. This mission aligns perfectly with her values, and through this work, she has found her purpose, which is empowering underserved communities and ensuring no entrepreneur is left behind.

Every day, she helps entrepreneurs, many of who remind her of her own family, access the capital and resources they need to thrive. But, AltCap’s mission is more than just providing access to capital, it is about providing access to opportunity. She feels incredibly honored to be part of a team that is turning ambition into possibility and is excited for continuous change going forward.
